A 34-year-old woman gave birth to a healthy baby in a Walmart bathroom on Christmas Eve and abandoned it in a trash can. According to Inside Edition, New Falls, Louisiana resident Kyandrea Thomas was arrested on Monday, December 26th, for the dastardly act and charged with attempted second degree murder. Thomas was soliciting patrons outside of the Walmart for tips on behalf of the Salvation Army on Saturday, December 24, when she suddenly went into labor. A 400 Level Science Education student of the Osun State University, (UNIOSUN) Osogbo, Adebisi Rofiat Damilola pictured above, has been found dead five days after she went missing. Adebisi had on Thursday December 22nd, left her campus at Ipetu to attend a programme organized by muslim group, NASFAT society, at Ikoyi near Ikire and had gone missing since then. Efforts by her family members and friends to reach her proved abortive as her phone was switched off. However, a source today told DailyTrust that her remains was found along the road today “Rofiat left Ipetu-Ijesha on Thursday. She was supposed to be in a NASFAT programme at Ikoyi, not far from Ikire. We have been looking for her since Thursday. We just received a phone call that Rofiat’s body was found somewhere around Iragbiji”. Ankara - The United States embassy in Ankara   on Wednesday denied Washington had ever supported  Islamic State (ISIS) jihadists in the Syrian conflict after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan claimed the extremists had enjoyed US backing. "The United States government is not supporting Daesh," the embassy said in a terse statement, using another acronym for ISIS. The United States "did not create or support Daesh in the past. Assertions the United States government is supporting Daesh are not true", it added. The statement did not mention Erdogan by name, but said there was "considerable misinformation circulating in Turkish media" about US operations against ISIS in Syria. "For those interested in the truths, here are the truths," the embassy said. Erdogan had on Tuesday accused coalition forces led by the United States of supporting not just the Kurdish Peoples' Protection Units (YPG) in Syria, but also ISIS. "

A Kenyan pastor on Wednesday afternoon, December 14th, stopped to help a pregnant woman deliver a baby in Keno area along Makuyu-Sagana highway in Murang’a County, after crews of a commercial bus popularly known as matatu threw her out after showing signs of labour. The pastor, David Mwangi Mburu of Christian Faith and Hope Ministry in Maragua, Murang’a County, embarked on helping the middle-aged woman give birth after women who had gathered around her were unable to facilitate the process. Mr Mburu asked the women to use their lesos to throw a cordon around the expectant woman before helping her to give birth. She safely delivered a healthy baby girl. Speaking to eDaily, Mr Mburu condemned the matatu crew’s cruel action of throwing the woman out of the moving vehicle at a time she was in pains. On Friday, December 16th, 2016, South African Police, the Hawks, rescued 26 females aged between 14 and 37 from a brothel in Klerksdorp following a tip-off alleging that the premises is being used as a brothel run by Nigerians. The females are South Africans and come from different parts of the country; Northern Cape, KZN, Free state, Johannesburg and Eastern Cape.
